Harry Potter
by J.K. Rowling

Seven books, and a childhood - and adolescence! - of memories.

Can we talk about these books without acknowledging the author has ever written a single word before or beyond them? I'd like to.

Oh, how I cried the day I did NOT get my Hogwarts letter! It tends to be a bit lost on a child that continental restrictions may apply. My mother was just as excited for these books as I was, and to this day I hold the opinion they're (almost) perfectly cast.

This series is a must-read. The writing style is quick and witty- the characters lovely. The love they teach is somehow a polar opposite to the hate the author projects. Fascinating psychology & fantastical story aside, Harry Potter has spurned a myriad of philosophical and sociological discussion. Not all of it is worth it's weight in print. I'll leave you, the reader, to discern what to make of the spinoff content & university lectures.
